You've made the point I was trying to make in fewer words, and much more clearly. People at the top of the cult do pretty much whatever suits their purpose, including "marriage of generations" in the form of child brides.
Based on everything I've read about Karen Zerby, I think it's likely she a taste for adolescent boys. The fact that reliable sources allege she slept with her 12-year-old son suggests she's capable of just about anything. Also, when you read what she has to say about "sexy" Jesus, she comes across like she's about 15 years old.
