Can't it be the case though that in cultures of cooperation, the cooperation is -- like in the family -- the burden of the victim, who would be blamed for destroying the cooperative fabric if the perp were exposed? I am not sure that cultures of cooperation don't have their own pitfalls. It all depends on who you're required to cooperate with and who dictates that vs. who defers to the dictates. Who doimates versus who bends.
