Thanks for the research...what amazes me is, that
either TF didn't do that or it doesn't appear from the quote and that is to understand, why, emotionally speaking, a child wets the bed & getting an answer...I mean, they always acted, as if they had a hot channel to God...but often enough, they did probe into things...if I am not mistaken...

I always thought, TF discerned between intentional, wilful behaviour, "naughtiness", conscious and unintentional mistakes. I can't remember TF advocating a spanking in the latter case...rather Maria rambling against that in some letter about "systemites" roughing up their kids at a cash, while they were waiting in line...wasn't that the case ?...

So the child is doing that subconsciously and of course the parents would hate, to always buy some new mattress...in hot climate I remember laying the mattresses out in the sun, so afterwards they were pretty ok again.

I know, that TF didn't have the solution, but what I was talking about was, that societies worldwide often don't have that either, especially if you consider low class families, cause they struggle to survive and the fall out of those tough economical situations the children have to suffer too...

But thank you very much for the feedback...I am thankful, that I didn't have any inclinations to spank my children, as they were/are my treasures, but then I thought, others felt the same...
