Hi there,
Your subject line asked if 'the group has a name'. Yes, the group I belonged to was Set Free. They are located all over the usa but strongest in Orange County and Los Angeles (CA) where I'm from. They are written about in the book "Churches That Abuse." But really, they are like many other religious groups with charismatic/dictator-like leadership at the top, sex, drugs, rock n' roll, people being sent away to 'the [work] ranches' when they disobey or question... so in that sense I'd say coming from that group is similar to many others I've learned about in the last few years.
