IMO the whole thread is a bit "loaded" emotionally as well as in regards to complexity...there might be several emotional/ logical traps....when Educator pointed to the article of A.Stein - by "funny" coincidence some founding member of Rise International - I read that with great gain & the reaction of the students in that one course showed their appreciation...students obviously still belong to youth, although you could easily have similar good results in highschools etc. since extremists of of all sorts are recruited at young age

(something similar I think is valid for kids getting enticed through gothic type of music...the dungeon-looks & all the rest...and at highschool/university campus killings strange enough a deep liking for all that can be seen as some similarity in several instances).

"how can we now warn the youth"...that's what JWH
wrote and the most possible offensive part in this sentenceto be thought is the "little" pronoun "we".

Then some SGAs or whoever gets offended, because
he/she still feels/is young or whatever...however it's maybe important to distinguish by asking, who is we ...CB is e.g. very good in wording and with academical background & yet belonged for some (shorter??!!) time to "us"...yet she would be heard...so it's not so simple the them/ us issue...as the youth is something most likely to be non "SGAish"....for they are alredy warned...Although I think we should not come across as "knowing" anything, except our experience puts us at times above them, who simply sit at their university desk...maybe JWH sounds to the "intellectual ears" of youth-ish still as the least likely to have success in warning the youth (other age groups included though, as pointed out)...but frankly that's one of my main reasons to be on this board & that is one thing I always admit in talks with members of the congregation I go to, my past serves at least as a bad sample of how you can get astray...that right to tell to whoever wants to hear it I don't think can be taken from me, no matter how "academical" the arguments.

I think on boards like these we have to be careful how to word things...I had no idea, that that many SGAish-sounding people, pardon me, were recently reading & commenting on various threads...as I thought, that we were rather shunned.

May be a little bit more refrain on both sides would be helpful...for the article of A.Stein proves, that youth appreciates to be warned..however it doesn't really say of whom & not so much how...except in the course of a university-lecture & by the lecturer...so leave it to the academics?
