Your post necessitated a response because you brought the coordinator into it, already accusing us of having double standards before we had time to know what was going on. Let me put it to you real simply:

We're human, we're busy, and we do our best, but sometimes we just don't catch it all. We come in, sometimes all we have time for is to give the boards a cursory look, and we do our best to put out any fires we see. I/We don't mean to be unfair or have any double standards. It's just not an easy job we have. So we will probably never be able to be fair, equal and consistent enough for everyone all of the time.

My reaction to your post was not because I don't hear you. I hear you. I understand why it is personally offensive to you. I even agree it is potentially tricky territory. It has nothing to do with not accepting that FGs can be affected by such comments. But I was pointing out that the only reason we gave so much leeway to the SG, was that the SG did have some posting history with the person who wrote the youth comments. And even then we were about to intervene, when the person proved there was an issue. I'm going round circles repeating myself.

Please try to see our efforts less as policing as trying to be helpful and keeping the peace while allowing room for issues to be discussed and played out--not an easy balance. Try to see our intervention not as taking the other person's side, but as our trying to cool things down. We're not attacking you, so please try to take off some of that edginess with the coordinators.
