I am a researcher for Gibson Group in Wellington New Zealand.
I am working on a two part documentary to run on TV3 later this year on cults and extreme faith based groups.
Through social history,analysis and first hand accounts we hope to explore the methods these cults use to recruit members, how they keep them hooked in and how hard it is for people to get out.
It is not our aim to embarrass any former cult members, but just explore how the mind can lose its own free will.
