We didn't all join a perverted cult or choose to follow a pervert

Most of us didn't join a cult. We joined what we thought was an Christian organization trying to do some real good, unconventional at most.

I joined in the late 70s when the cult was at its most democratic phase and didn't resemble a cult at all. It was like a fraternity of inpendent missionaries. I never saw the really bad things going on. Whatever nudity or sexuality there was, was very hippie-like innocent. I never saw abuse to children, and never heard of orers by Berg that children should be sexualized. I was shown milk first, meat later.

The way it works, by the time they showed you meat they were sure you were brainwashed enough to have suspended your own thinking, that you have burned your bridges and can't go back, and are so eager to fit in and prove yourself.

By the time I figured out what was really happening to me and people around me and wanted to leave in the eary 80s, I couldn't, because I was trapped, because I didn't want to abandon my children.

We're not all bad guys who joined.
