Thanks for filling us in with some more details...it was repeatedly said, that the Exer-boards most likely get monitored by TF...so do kind of expect, that your neighbours might "look different" on you from now on ; )

If you have scolled down here past the more recent posts, you might have already seen & read, that Karen Zerby came recently out of the hiding...which she hardly would have done, had her son still been alive...I figure.

So may be there is this new "boldness" of them, to stand for what they are: "family members", when before they were known for an inflationary use of placative names

Since you're in the North Americas, I think you get better advise from people living there...
e.g. in Germany homeschooling is forbidden except for some very few instances, like children of circus-artists etc.
...so that might not be any lever over there??!...in Germany one can also visit somebody else without registering, but that has it's limits too...you can't visit on and on so to speak....if the landlord needs the cash & fears a vacant place, he might be hesitant anyway??!!

In history there have been many TF- homeraids, some internationally wide known, like those in Argentina or Australia...with pretty doubtful "good" results...rather not!!! I don't know, where the authorities stand nowadays, but the interventions seem to be pretty "mild"...I bet they got advise from either books & or their acadamic "friends"...

Frankly my own stand against TF is very much on the "journey's"/religious side...since their wrong Bible-interpretations have lead to so many sad consequences...therefore the battle remains for me foremost a "spiritual" one...however, where there are definite breakings of laws & some proof to it...it could/should be persued...question is what & where.

Again, I think they're are very wrong, but many of their activities, like sharing wives/mates etc, don't interest any Sheriff anymore or if in some "weird" way...so in that regard they're also careful not to operate in countries/places, where they wouldn't have the "liberties", which they "feel" are their religious rights...so in some way even the Justice Ward ruling is also showing to me, if I remember correctly, that the rights of the mother is stressed, independantly of being part in a weird sect/cult....facts to face....even in Germany neglect of children has to be very obvious until it gets prosecuted & sometimes the authorities have been terribly in the wrong (scrutinising the parents falsely)
