the way you put it and you kind of sum it up nicely..the jist of things
I haven't seen the "original" yet, dragging to have to download the stuff from the server-address????

Anyway, I wanted to stress the one thing you already said, another lame, empty apology..one thing MG already said. What TF (leadeship) is too blind for is that it isn't such a huge thing, to "confess", mistakes have be done..goodness..even the Maoists/communists "confessed" that from time to time..."perfect" as they "were".Any government does that...in my job, a big industrial company, in production almost weekly mistakes happen, although they try to reduce that as much as possible...since it "burns up" money...people really don't have spare, especially in these days...but people are not perfect...neither are the machines they build.

So what does TF-leadership think, they couldn't make any mistakes anymore???Would sound utterly stupid and I like to think, that not even they are thaaaaat stupid.

TF made tons of "mistakes"...one very big one was to exploit the kindness of some givers/"kings"...but TF was always short in money so they grabbed it where they could...

That aside, the big sin...in biblical context...is on the false morality/attitude towards sex...it belongs into a marriage of (greetings from Romans 13) mature adults or depending on the country, with some sort of permission being under age.
The one wife concept might even be old, as gnostics have been accused of indulging in it.
It means, it's also an old battle, which TF "solved" (didn't!!!!!) their way ("I did it my/Berg's way...sigh/sob) ...that' s a grave sin, which they just erased from their Bibles...through the "MO-books"...
So we're talking in biblical context about big sins....a word, which should still be in their vocabulary...but for them the big sin is pride, selfishness...to which I can agree too, but not to the point, that if a mate "won't share" (or a minor...grrrrrr), he/she is selfish and the jealousy is a symptom of it...I mean even Berg experienced that...would mean, he was selfish too...sigh.

Furthermore, in terms of the world, we also talk about big crimes, where minors are/were involved

In that sense I can't hear anymore these lame excuses...because their soul is polluted with the "free love" rubbish, I was once polluted with too.
..they hate the system, cause in some way, the system reminds them of some of ther sins/crimes & then they call it persecution for their (un)righteousness sake.

TF-leadership would have to hit some "wall" to knock sense in that regard into them...or laying the ground for it...
Plus it's such a cowardly attempt to rectify the past, I guess they genuinely "feel", that some "mistakes" must have happened, otherwise why would so many of the perfect second generation...proof of the pudding...have left TF (under "perfect" leadership...the best of the best of the best ad nauseam) They feel, they must say something sincere, but it sounds not too sincere for me/us, because they downplay by wording the severity of the whole past, which they seem to be blind to.
Plus they don't want to/can't publicly confess something, which could be interpreted as a legally binding confession to crimes committed or condoned...whatever the legal wording.
In the meantime, young adults/ SGAs seem to have left by the scores and they face the same problems as an ageing western society: hardly any youngsters around to pay their pensions

So they make compromises,Berg was not really famous for..him a "hardliner"...with the Gideon's band-attitude...with that they wouldn't have enough "peanuts" to pay the bills, I suppose...in that Zerby is more "pragmatic".

All in all: not too much too new in the west...but I'd be happy, if kids could learn to relate to others in the world.TF isn't the only outfit with that "hangover" (I shudder, when I think of the parts, where kids in Berg's household could climb neither trees nor play in the "dirt" etc....but Berg could tell all about that in his "fantastic" biographies of what he all did in childhood). It's not easy for a "Christian" to live in a world, surrounded by "flatlanders", who just accept, what they can "measure" etc.

I guess, that was also one of the very hard things for me, outside of/past TF....for the world/system has really limited attraction for me & always had, also prior to TF...as the majority of TFers (and Exers) probably still can testify to
