YOUR HELP PLEASE - FAMILY INTERNATIONAL IN SOUTH AFRICA

Posted by on December 29, 2009 at 05:49:00

I have only recently become aware of the Family International as the result of reading the book "Not Without My Sister" as well as an article in the Mail & Guardian (South Africa) regarding Miss Indonesia in the Miss World pageant being a member of Family International.

As a result I went online and discovered that Family International also has missions in South Africa.

As I understand it, they are operating in an area called Diepsloot in the province of Gauteng (just north of Johannesburg) which is a low income group area.

Interestingly though, their contact details reflect an address in a very upmarket wealthy suburb of Johannesburg.

Can anyone give me advice as to how one can go about exposing Faimly International for what they are? Preferably I would like to close them down in South Africa but that may not happen with our Constitution - unless child abuse can be proved.

To date, I have written to Interpol via their website (no response to date) and sent a message to all the contacts in my Facebook address book; and also sent the information to a contact in the South African Police.

Response was either non-existent, or in two cases asking me not to send them such info again, and a few people who did not want to become involved as they were "anti-Christian" in any event.

It seems that most people would rather put their heads in the sand than fight a cult which abuses children.

Many thanks
