Socrates:

Back in '74, right after I left, I did this:

I actually followed the "7 Ways to Know the Will of God", and EVERYTHING "clicked" and said, "LEAVE!!!".

The night before "Independence Day, God kept me up all night, beinning with the verse "...knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men...", and leading me through the entire New Testament (The Word"), staring at Mt 5:28. EVERYTHING I needed to read JUMPED off of the pages--longer story. I couldn't kick against "...the VOICE of the Word..." AND "Direct Revelation".

I ran into a guy who had personally known Berg and Fred Jordan, and had explained the root of bitterness between those two, and the corruption that had followed ("Godly Counsel").

I had exactly enough money for a ticket out of town to my wife's hometown, from Seattle, Washington, to Eugene, Oregon. "Circumstances".

THEN, I met a guy who was a copier machine mechanic, after "putting out a fleece", who OFFERED to copy a letter to Berg adn his "leadership", for which I actually had 50 colony adddresses around the world. I got free postage from another source. I mailed ALL of them, and only three came back. "Burdens", "Fleeces", well as obvious supernatural provision--enough for me, anyway!!!

I assume they were read. I hope some people acted on the letter. It was as complete an apologetic against Berg's doctrine as I could muster at the time!!
