God bless you, Farmer. Bless the strides you take to continue the walk in faith. My biggest conflict with TF teachings is the use of shame and hate, and the beliefs that they are the only Truth. I feel saddened by the brainwashing that hold so many captive. Your story breaks my heart to hear the struggles your endured to support your children. I hope they appreciate your sacrifice to see them well. It has taken a lifetime for me as well to finally be comfortable in my faith again. I don't know how you think but my belief is my God is a loving God, so loving that he sent His only Son to suffer and die for us. Being a father yourself, picture God as He saw His Son nailed to the cross. Now picture your own child in the same situation. What a sacrifice He made just for you and me. I know many ex members struggle with organized religions. After leaving the COG, I couldn't even sit through a sermon without criticizing in my heart. I am so happy for you that you found teachers (I like to call Angels) to help you find your way again. God never promised life to be easy and free of struggles. He promised to walk through the storms with us.

This weekend I go to a Women's Retreat at my church, the topic being based on a book "You Matter More Than You Think" - What a woman needs to know about the difference she makes - Pray for us and the other women who come for growth and fellowship.

God Bless You,
Hannah
