Well, you didn't add the scenario, where people in the past sold everything they had and waited on their rooftops to have HIM come on a "foreseen" date...I never really belonged to those...for even in TFI you were supposed to be busy nonetheless
...on the other hand it strikes me as overly optimistic with such huge population on earth...fading resources...many problems not solved...not to speak of the increase in natural disasters (just speak to some insurance-representative...they know and have to pay...)
to just be thinking little man can always "ride/surf" the big waves...
pride comes before falling...even historians agree upon that...e.g. regarding the crumbling of the Roman emperor
...history repeats itself...only now man things he doesn't need any invisible God anymore (we've been in outer space...no trace there...urrrrrgh...)...man is ripe for the idea, that he/she & the others in society are just "all the god they need" (or some future "deity" appearing)...at least that attitude is on the increase
A falling away has to come first...
by the way...since we started off with that magnificent island in the far east...and Ironsides
