Well...believe it or not Berg got at least that meaning right...hamartia=sin in NT is on the military level...colloquial NT-Greek...missing the mark...so one can keep that in mind

Anyway it's a good idea to have some old Greek resources at home or via the internet...because there are always a ton of supposed teachers who don't know string/sticks from beans...but follow some "narrow-(minded)-road

Still I want to adhere to what is in the Word and remarriage at lifetime of the separated mate is a tough...too tough one IMO...task to justify...I have abstained from it...because I couldn't "make it square"...and the attempts I found in the internet and elsewhere I found wanting a whole lot...the argumentation is faulty.

Ultimately people are responsible themselves and who "wants/desires" to be a teacher of the Bible (actually what is that??) needs to fulfill IMO quite a few obligations...if that happens to be ministry of modern times at all..

You have in most denominations still some sort of pyramidical leadership structure...TFI was no different in that...and I have my big doubts...whether that is correct at all

I had "adopted" (patchwork-family) children and we tried first homeschooling on/with them CLE=Christian Light education...should be know in the Bible belt...I think they are Anabaptists..klater they tried to catch up in public school...quite a task

My own 3 kids I sent to public...higher...school (now they all graduated and have shifted on to universities and further studies)...but had my "weekly indoctrination"...I wanted them to be prepared for what comes along their way in terms of doctrines...attitudes etc.

After all I think it's great concern bordering (crossing it rather!!!) to fear on the part of the parents...there is a group demand/dynamics of the church one goes to...what will they think...the pastor... OMG...etc...etc....rather than finding out themselves: what seems to be right and best (digging into the Word themselves with some interpretation help...books...other opinions from other denominations and then select a church/fellowship...where I am not a puppet anymore...where strings are pulled

People desire to live saintly and then also demand it from the children. At first sight there might be nothing wrong with it...but I think one needs to learn to trust God for them...you can push so much, that they give up in frustration...as the worst scenario

People often forget where they come from and that they haven't been perfect either

That's where TFI failed heavily...they didn't let the children experience a simple "cute"..playfull childhood...not too much at least...for the money was scarce...labourers too and playing too much was a bit of a "waste"...they needed to be young adults...

You could ask your relatives...if they are afraid of anything???Relatives remain relatives and deserve some love and contact...no matter whether they behave like I would wish them to....to me that is harshness

Jesus and his disciples didn't live in a fortress...neither in a monastery...they mingled...they touched and helped/healed

Got to go for now...wish you all the best in sorting that "malaise" out
