Here is my Journey's position on the "born this way" issue.

Farmer posted some good links on the Soapbox board and from what I just read it confirms that there is scientific evidence that demonstrates that genetics are just a part of the picture when it comes to sexual orientation, there is a complex array of other factors that play different roles in an evolving process that is not the same from one individual to another.

But strictly speaking whether purely by choice, or hereditary, or a combination of both and other factors ...I still think that it's wrong to judge that a gay person is in sin, whether he's saved or unsaved, and if desiring to be a Christian he should ask for prayer once he's saved in order to change his orientation. For me true spirituality doesn't judge the way someone else is in these matters. For me the credo "to live and let live" has a lot to do with not only acceptance but also tolerance and love.
