as a seasons-offer ; ) yes..it's a bit of an inflationary use on my side...like reapeating notes on an instrument...can be annoying..I'd admit to that...pardon me
but I did wonder really!
For you said:
It's my belief that the kind of Christianity that excludes the beliefs of others is not the Christianity that Jesus came to establish.

Well, sorry to discourage you there...but it is not of paramount importance what you and I think is supposedly the truth but what the Bible teaches ...what the son of God said and His apostles....so I rather quote it and some which I don't understand...I put it on the shelve...or keep chewing it

We are entitled to interpretations...where it harms not us or others...but too much private interpretation can indeed be harmful.

there is a certain amount of pedagogical element in the decree of the catholic church of the middle ages to privately read the Holy scriptures.

We know Berg made a mess with his interpretation...of course forbidding it altogether ...declaring everyone else but them as apostates is also quite a bit off.

But if it doesn't square with what the Bible says..how would you assume what Jesus really thought or taught?...that's quite a bit presumptious/dangerous to me...too much...therefore the 3 question marks...but you got a reduction by now ; )

but then that is your private faith (as you pointed also out)...like saying...I believe tomorrow it will be cloudy in central switzerland...weather-forecasts are still not 100 % right...though much better than when I was a child.

I had the scripture of James immediately in my mind when I read your lines...you believe that there is a God...the devils do too and...tremble

It depends also on the decisions we make...with whom we want to side...my posting here has also to do with the "fear"...that too many of us fellowship with the wrong side...

OT2 who was very concerned about that...also from own experience...got heavily chided for that...

I find that very sad...that is not respecting the other person's personal experiences either...but it is just a trumpeting for own personal freedom and the desire to pursue that...I have never doubted the right for such take...but I voice my doubts...whether a take is ideal or not... è tutto
