That's the way I always understood it:...except...in the sense...I could always be more loving...so being uncharitable fits about all of us...or not?
There are some saintlier than others, no doubt and first of all for us ex-TFI...it was a huge progress to have moved out of TFI...for the very well known and documented sins there within...but also without of TFI (which some people here on the boards seem to mind me to mention, that the world...also the Christian world...has similar sins piled up in history)

Those people are the ones who offend me by putting an "X" where Christ should be--alive in the world among us.

Chances are, that you're getting constantly offended...by the way me too...not only by TFI's failures, also my own in TFI and post TFI...but also the way church-history is full of disappointments too...up to the present day...and so??..

We're to confess Christ and believe in HIS righteousness alone, not in our own good works...we should be crucified with Christ belonging to HIM...but it seems we perform all too often some works of the flesh...I can say that from the various churches I observed, read upon past TFI...it's sobering...even the church I go to and I have no desire, to become a member there...I can't be a member, where people are allowed to divorce and remarry contrary to scripture....as an example and there is more.

But the fact, that we're saved by grace is best demonstrated by the assurance of Christ to the criminal being crucified beside HIM...who defended HIM...I believe that man to be saved because of his profession...and not professing HIM is also a sin

...letting there be an X...pronouncing it iks...when everybody with some brain knows it's either Chi or k and then proclaiming to be a Christian...well, I think there is some lukewarmness going on...probably

I would return an X-mas card from anyone, professing to be a Christian...I would ask whether he /she got that card for free and couldn't afford anything more pleasant...

sure there are national/regional differences...I have no idea yet, how the Germans seemed to have shifted away from a Christmas-greeting to the Holy-night-greeting...I had no time to look that detail up...that is also the same in many Mediterranean countries

non-Christians always proclaim...how utterly dumb Christians are...but they have a problem admitting how utterly stupid they often argue themselves...the X-mas thread also proved that again...
No good arguments...but insisting...

Next thing is ...that Christian theologians...I can say that for Germany...wondering how Christian they are? (big doubts)...also gave up longer ago on virgin birth...just because they find a "difference"...between the Septuagint and the Hebrew text

...since Christ is also likened to Adam...like Adam...Christ is made without "the help of man/flesh/intercourse"...It's mindblowing...how many people have problems with such simple spiritual realities

Supposedly, Xmas/Christmas is about celebrating family, which for religious types is smbolized by an infant born to near homeless squatters, an infant whose mother got knocked up outside of marriage

I personally feared for the worst.

By the way...there is to my knowledge little difference...to none...between betrothal and marriage...one indication is how apolyo is used...putting away

Regarding the world
1Cr 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

People who don't want to celebrate Christmas...for whatever reasons...and I know plenty of Christians...who also refrain from it, for known reason...I am not offended by that...why should I...although I really think the arrival of the Messiah should be thanked for...in Finland many people become moody/depressed because the days are so short in winter...the longing for light is "kind of natural"...

The Jews should have known better...and they missed pretty much unitedly the opportunity to lastingly jubilate upon HIS arrival.So replacing Christ/Messiah with X could also be a sign of removing the offending "member"...I wouldn't be surprised if in an atheistic, agnostic...multicultural...jewish neighbohood/community you'd have more references to X-mas

...if people want to celebrate Hanukah...which I consider a bad joke...to revive/celebrate this feast...or in India Diwali...or skip it altogether and just "freaking" out at New Year's Eve...what can you do as a believer...God will judge that...when they forget, that the Messiah did already come...the Jews still wait for their "right" Messiah

...In my church...two pastors preached now for the first time during Christmas-time...Advent...



rather about HIS second coming...that was good and needed something which TFI did all the time...obviously erring ...getting lost in predictions...

anyway...the Jews and many others missed the point, that now some time in the "nearer" future...Christ will have HIS second coming...and the scandal is, that people will be lost, cause, they didn't like the cornerstone...it became a stumblingblock
