just wanted to add: Not insinuating I think people here are spouting BS or are hypocrites, I don't. I believe people are sincere about their views. I just was thinking about how I lived very raw and reactive for quite some time. There are certainly times when things can hurt at a very deep level for a wide variety of reasons, but it has helped me not to put God in as a factor. I don't blame God for anything because I don't believe HE exists. But I do believe that my perception of misfortune or success has a lot to do with how I survive either.
