I can't say enough about how much I appreciate your candor but without minimizing your experience, that was the norm. A few people got spared but TFI sex rules were in place to be enforced at will by the powerful. I am glad that your husband was a caring shepherd, many home leaders were. Leaders past that level may have also had a gentle soul but power mongering was all around. In my experience, the vast majority of people, men and women, had a blind spot for abuse in any of its forms.
Both of you joined after I had left TFI but I am still dealing with the damage that experience cost. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope that your participation in the ongoing dialogues will help put some things to rest. It has been so for me.
