I am more interested in dialog with differing points of view than in making an argument about how to vote in a national election. That is why I didn't come to this board until after the US election.
US media coverage is very lopsided. I know virtually nothing about the issue the Russians have raised with the president-elect over the east European missile defense shield proposed by the Bush Administration. I don't know what the heck happened after the Russian invasion of Georgia in early August. (US media were too busy covering the cost of Sarah Palin's campaign wardrobe.) How do Europeans view Russia's behavior? Are there people in Europe who want the US to plant missiles in the eastern states?
I watch the BBC to get news about Africa, otherwise I wouldn't know about the Congo's genocidal war. Is this something that matters to people living outside the U.S.?
