That's what finally got me. You never knew when you were going to get the axe and when you were going to be adored and understood. It was like walking on a tight rope. Just when you thought you were doing something right, when you were trying to so hard and trying so hard to understand, you find out it was all wrong. Then the guy next to you gets all this praise for exactly the same thing you got the axe for. It never made any sense. I think that was the idea, keep everyone guessing so we had to be dependent on every single word of Berg's - we were required to dispense with our critical thinking.
