I think the problem was the insinuation that exmembers are still stuck in that frame of mind and I see by your wonderful post how wrong it is to make a general assumption that exmembers are for the most part. Read his other remarks and you will see.

I mean, I totally agree with you, there are some exmembers I wouldn't spend any of my time with, they are too nutty for me and I don't need that in my life - does that make them evil? I don't remember anyone ever saying that or insinuating that. Then there are F. people like my daughter that I believe are genuine and stuck in an environment they had no choice in creating, thinking they are serving God. I believe these people to be genuine and caring people in spite of the stupid doctrines they are following.

The person who was evil is dead, however, his doctrines propel the leadership to commit some of the same evils. To say there is no child abuse now is trusting them again. I see many other forms of abuse - including spiritual abuse, gender abuse, isolation abuse, and on and on. It concerns me that my grandchildren are growing up in a group that doesn't allow any outside influences or education and that woman are regulated to having one baby after another in quick succession, thereby rendering them powerless and totally dependent on the group and/or their husbands, not to mention the highly sexual environment that they consider normal. That infuriates me. If it doesn't infuriate others, I can't understand why. If I see these doctrines and dogmas permeate an environment, I either run from it, blast it or expose it. If that puts me in this type of category that has been created for some people's personal pleasure of putting things in some sort of order - saying that I am viewing the F. as evil and exmembers as good, then there is something wrong with that sort of mindset because it's off the mark.
