You know, this is a great example of the character assasination I have to deal with on a regular basis.

It couldn't be that the message was just posted in the wee hours of this morning, and perhaps I missed it, or haven't worked my way down the board to replies to things I wrote two days ago.

No.. it has to be that I either ignored it, or didn't want to hear it.

You not only assume the worst about me, you publish it world wide on the Internet. Then other people read it, and assume it's true, unless I make a big deal like this to refute it.

I didn't see that post yet. I get raked over the coals every time I don't dot and i or cross a t, so it takes me a long time lately to go over what I do write to try and make sure I don't say anything too stupid. I would have made it to that message eventually, but I haven't yet.

That said....I'll go ahead and handle it up here.

I think it is wonderful that there are any ex-members helping people like this.

However, what I was referring to is some form of ongoing programmed help. The closest thing I know about that accepts SGA's in numbers higher than one or two is Laurelhome. If Laurelhome is considered unacceptable by some exmembers, then it would be helpful to have available some alternatives.

I think it's great that some people have stepped forward and named shelters. If Barney ends up not being the only well known resource for SGA's, then it doesn't mean I'm wrong, or I lost the contest.

If all this ranting I've done makes enough people think about it to where more organization takes place, that is a good thing.
