Well Donny, sorry it bothered you or anyone else for that matter. And you are right about the way I worded it. But it is a sore spot for me and I don't think the presentation helps SGAs one iota. There was a good e-mail I typed out that I got from a professional that is referred to at the SGA board. I do think reposting both parts of it would be a helpful discussion and a legitimate one. The focus of it is not on the differences. Each person, of any age, has to ask themselves what they do or do not like about themselves and their part in anything harmful once "sight" so to say, is restored. NO ONE is the perfect victim here. But the focus for recovery is not furthered by speaking against ourselves or others in a general manner, imo.And that is how I hear it anytime that it is referenced that we as FGAs chose to join a cult. We are all survivors of hell on earth. I do not try to take anyones anger, I am not that powerful. I believe the SGAs have every right to be angry, and to express it. So do FGAs once they get out. Please look up those posts and see what you think Donny. It is not for the sake of argument, but I think for recovery. It is hard being an exer and reaching out for support to find posts where so many others seem to blame themselves or devalue themselves by comparison of one group to the other. Rocky seemed to understand what I was saying, I think. And his answer seemed very validating to me. So WHAT is it that others take at issue? I don't get it. What things happened that made you able to break from the family? What kept you in? Do you think all current members in the family that aren't children should be jailed or something? What if you had not yet gotten out? This stuff can sometimes come across more like the Crucible than helpful where the kids are innocents and the adults are all witches except for the chosen few elders...
