Well, I don't want to blast you as that's not the point. The point is to discuss and try and sort things out, which we're doing. When I meet Fam members I don't rant at them, I do try to break down the walls of us-they. But the trouble is, at some point the truth has to be told. Not telling the truth and covering it up is what got us all into trouble in the first place.

I sort of feel like we need to be like Socrates -- ask questions -- challenge assumed traditions. Get people thinking critically. That's they key, and that is what M&P are deathly afraid of.

Of course, in the end, we cannot do much. People have to make their own choices. But when people like RF are making money for the Fam with products and giving the Fam good PR, and using Fam resources to do so -- then I think we need to stand up and out him. If people want to keep dealing with him -- fine. But they are doing so in an informed manner.

I'd like to be nice and graceful and as you said, they are us just a few steps of grace further along. there but for the grace of God go I. But maybe if there had been more reasoned critiquing of the Family earlier on, some of us might have started thinking sooner.

For me, given all the horror and suffering that the Family has caused ,especially to the younger generation who were literally defenseless, I feel that I have to advocate against the group in a reasoned, responsible manner. I advocate against the leaders, the organisation, which I view as criminal, and many of the doctrines and practices. I do not beleive in collective punishment, but I do think that Family members have to step up to the plate and be candid about their membership in the group, and take respponsibility for that choice. I think that fosters healthy atitudes and gets people thinking for themselves.

I enjoy your posts.
