What you say about otherwise sane people who believe in crazy stuff rings a bell. without mentioning names or embarasing anyone I knew an exmember who got his son out of the COG & took him to live with his parents. the exers parents were from the South & good ol' boys to be sure, but even they were shocked at the SGAs attitude (he'd learned from Mo) about blacks. the SGA basicaly quoted Mo letters & said that slavery wasn't so bad & the Blacks should have been happy to continue being slaves.
he was a smart kid & I'm sure he grew out of that belief butit's funny what you'll believe inside a cult when there's no other source of info.
