I was watching a program the other day - a kind of documentary study on sex, where it was therorized that a male has wet dreams, or masturbates, to keep the sperm within fresh and alive - sorta like re-stalking the shelf; and a female masturates cause it does something, perhaps chemically, to keep her clean and fresh and ready to receive.
No. I don't think Maria invented masturbation. I would agree, though, that she invented masturbating as unto Jesus, but then again, I could be wrong. There are millions out there, outside of the Fam, some of whom have probably imagined these kinds of things, and there is no new thing under the sun, right?
