Yes, managing a site and boards can be a thankless and frustrating job and I understand you quitting the post a couple times, as I've felt like it myself. But the knowledge that we're helping people by providing a service and resources makes it worth it. Friction on the boards -- and even among staff -- is inevitable since we're all human and since, after emerging from the cult, we're pretty diverse individuals and are each determined to assert our individuality. And that's a good thing.

Even moving on and no longer needing the boards, or no longer posting, is a good thing. Recovering from the cult takes time, maybe a lifetime, but there are points when we have processed pretty large chunks of our past experiences, read enough posts and articles and checked out the resources on the sites, and it's time to get on with the rest of our lives.

All of our coordinators, Achieck, Kathy and Carol, made valuable contributions to this website, and like you say, even though a website becomes larger than any one person and some of the people move on, it nevertheless bears the mark of their hard work and contributions.
