I took West Coast Swing and Country lessons about 6 years ago but never actually used what I learned. I went to Country bars but was too shy or scared to actually try it. THen I too Salsa lessons and same thing. I never put my lessons to good use. Finally about 2 years ago I took East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop lessons and went out dancing quite a lot. I've gotten preety good at it. The problem is a lot of the East Coast Swing clubs where I live (L.A.) have closed or changed their venu. I'm almost considering taking West Coast Swing and Country lessons again as there's a Country bar wihin a half hour of my house.
Dancing certainly is fun and a great way to meet the opposite sex if you're single. If you're married I'm sure it's a great way to have fun together.
