Xmas vs Christmas

My guess is the starting post was meant to address Berg's Xmas vs Christmas doctrine. He wrote an entire Mo Letter forbidding members to use "Xmas" and explained that it was a Jewish conspiracy to take "Christ" out of Christmas.

Perry, as you have explained, you have your triggers, and you explained them well. Perhaps it would also be more tactful of you to speak for yourself, and say "I have such and such a trigger..." rather than speak for the entire exer non-Christian community at large, as this leads to a turf war - is genX a Christian or non-Christian forum - and it will paralyze people from posting freely.

Christians and non-Christians have a right to post on genX, but if the topic is strictly religious, then it should be on Journeys.

If you want to, you could initiate a post about the stress and whatever you don't like about Christmas/Xmas, and start up a good discussion about it. You could probably start up an interesting discussion on the Academic board about Christianity imposing itself on other faiths and cultures during Christmas time. But a reaction like yours to someone wishing us a merry xmas was also not very kind.
