If it's NOT all about Uncle Jim and making sure he gets the attention he needs and deserves as the center of the family galaxy, it shouldn't be that difficult to listen to what other people need. Some people need to talk about anal sex. Yes, outrageous as that may seem, some people's problems are more important to them than Uncle Jim and his crusade.

What you call Uncle Jim's "dedication," I call "impression management." He talks the talk and appears to walk the walk, but when I take a closer look, I see a man who consistently demonstrates narcissistic character traits in his communications on the various exer websites. Because of that, I don't trust him. This is not a false accusation, this is simply my perception of the evidence he has provided in his own writings and actions. If there was no validity in my point of view, you wouldn't feel the need to defend Jim or the way your family members rotate around him like a center of gravity.

But look! Once again, it's all about Uncle Jim, the unrecognized and much-maligned center of the universe! What about YOU? Interesting that you feel offended that I bothered to ask about what you need. So it's none of my business what you need? When you defend your uncle and family in a post on this website, you invite me and everyone else to make your neediness and LaMattery family dynamics our concern.
