To create or write a book or art or to be a whistleblower requires a certain type of a cold pyschic zone where no intimacy is allowed--like a pregnant women giving birth who reaches the point where she just cannot have anybody touch her or might even bite off your finger in the midst of delivery if you don't watch out.

A daughter on the other hand requires the whole of one's attention and real communication.

So I wish him good luck in a virtually impossible situation.

One bit of advice for him and his book is to forget the Foucault influence. The Family even used and quoted the gay Foucault in their pseudo-academic sex writings(written by the sensitive Paul Theophilus) to justify their whole stance and simplistic and, in fact, clinical approach to child abuse and promiscuous sex.

Skip Foucault and go to his sources, the ones that gave him his ideas, that he pretends are original. Drop the Foucault quote at the beginning of your book--it'll only appeal to academics--unless that's what you want.

The problem with Foucault and his post structuralist and post modern stance is the lack of overarching sense of chronology--same tone--same time feeling--every period of history they address ends up sounding the same--flat, nasal and snide----

--Which reminds me of the Family and cults all over again.
