You really nailed it.
I've even heard of Family members TRICKING someone to pray the sinner's prayer. Asking "Can I pray for you?" then slipping in a repeat-after-me as they go along.
One brother told me how he'd done that and at the end the systemite was upset and said, "Hey! You tricked me!"
The brother asked me later, "He realized what he was praying, so do you think I should count him as a soul saved?"
