I am glad you didn't pull the trigger. I don't knock what works for you and am glad when people cope well without medications.
Also I know exercise is good for health over all and helps to release "endorphins" but for some it is not sufficient.
If anything, I just wanted to encourage people that are living in pain out of FEAR of medication that could help them, that seeking professional help and trying medications for illness that is emotional is no different than taking insulin for diabetes that is not controlled by diet alone.
I don't think you or crazy but I sure wouldn't recommend that anyone take a loaded gun and play Russian Roulette with their lives either when their are alternatives that can help someone have a better quality of life than they would have without them.
I no longer take or need an SSRI but if I did again I would not hesitate to start again since it helped me before. I needed it for years and it gave me a better quality of life, in some cases GAVE ME LIFE OVER DEATH until I could cope better because of them and then later without them.
I am glad you brought this whole thing up.
