Many Youth Were Conned and Taught To Con By the Cults

Moon, Berg, Hubbard, et al,

The Baby Boom produced babies–lots of ‘em. Just like the Beatle’s and Beatlemania, the explosion was beyond anyone’s imagination or control.
With all the youth running around and money to be made off their numbers, the opportunists (capitalists, cultists, gurus, etc)lined up to take their pick of customers and suckers.

The Family-Children of God was led by such a man, Berg--a Texan small time religious charlaton, he used the Utopian dreams of a generation to siphon off his own personal harem–it meant a lot of youth were distilled through the cult to get his perfect batch of cultic-sycophantic-harem-dead heads.

Thankfully so many young people saw through the ruse right away and left the cult–yet the cult still brags about the large number of kids who joined–yeah, but they didn’t stay.

History will record that the teeming numbers of youth in the 60’s and early 70’s reached for Utopia and dreamed massive dreams–openly in the public and somewhat naively.

Cults will be forgotton, or just remembered for what they are--cults of deception.

The youth will be the story of the 20th century–their dreams, their courage, their commitment, their failures…

The Children of God-the Family will be forgotton…like every bad nightmare…or remembered…like every bad nightmare…
