I am the second to the youngest daughter out of the eleven children. I left the family with my parents in 2000. I had a newborn baby whose father was never a member of the cult.

Not only did my parents force and insist that I get my GED, but they have supported me through every aspect of my life. They pushed me to continue my education and get a B.S. My mom watched my son and worked while I was in school. I am now about to graduate and will pursue my masters. If it were not for the support and encouragement of my parents I would be a single mother working for minimum wage. I now am happily married and because of my parents I have a great future to look forward to.

This is ridiculous that you are questioning the validity of their apology. Of course they are not in the cult anymore. They hate and regret every moment they spent in it. My parents have not only repeatedly begged my siblings and me for forgiveness, but have also tried to apologize to many other exers. For many years before they left they had almost no the ties to the family except sending in the minimum tithe possible.

They have done everything possible to try to make amends and make up for lost time. They have been nothing but supportive, and have helped each and everyone of my siblings in everyway possible to get and education and make a better life.

I hope that we can move on from this.
