"Hold up, Fast Freddy"'s reply was very sharp, but also right on...I take the biblical angle so to speak...so may be this would have to be rather shifted to journeys...sorry for any trouble:

R.F....you could be anything, a TF member acting as someone "ready-to-join"..."deceivers...yet (un)true"...a TF-policy... comes to my mind or a journalist or somebody with
nothing else to do or...?! We had every once in a while somebody like you appearing here...hard to say, whether you're one and the same person

1)How would a person go about joining The Family.... 2)I have met current members of TF and they have an innocence rarely even seen in children

Why don't you let 1) be answered, by using 2)...your connections...there was a time, they were quite "chosey" in regards to outsiders...to join...but may be, they're in dire need for "fresh blood" nowadays

I know the past and I do not condone it.....oh great, so you have read many posts/material like on here or at xfamily.org etc....and have read TF's material & still wish to join????? Very strange!! You want to use your time & your skills & possessions to "further them"??Why??

You all have the right to hate those that hurt you in the past.

That applies to a lot/all of 2Gs I suppose, plus may be many FGAs...it doesn't apply for me though...I don't hate them...I am a Christian...I hate their unconfessed big sins they hide & cover & their asking everybody for "understanding" etc....if anything, I pity their ignorance of biblical facts.

As a catholic I have seen the Catholic Church change over 2000 years.

That explains a lot, Sir...that you're a catholic...I have lived for years in a catholic country (Italy) & live since decades in a predominatly catholic
region in Germany...usually very sweet, but gullible people...prone to idolworship & thoroughly confused when it comes to significant Bibleknowledge...whenever I see the attire of the cardinals on TV...I am close to vomitting...no simplicity of the Gospel...sure, in the early days of TF you'll find how Faithy...Berg's daughter (she had to endure his incestous approaches!!)...impressed some "mother"/nun of some catholic outfit, I think it were the little sisters??Franciscan???...am not bothered right now to research that...anyway...even the luvvets-show had first some "good-response" in catholic Philippines etc etc. So the question is not, what is used as the "introduction-facade"...as a mask...

Are you aware of what letters TF has renounced so far???...absolutely renounced

By the way Berg is not the endtime David...one of the many failed prophecies, misconceptions, delusions of TF...watch out for the charismatic etc. deception.

What the catholics did in centuries past(murder in the lords name) is more horrific than a thousand David Bergs.
They moved past that and became the dominate and most respect Christian religion in the world.

Ok...if you wish you can include the Lutherans for what they did against the Anabaptists...& also against the Jews...as a matter of fact, you probably find quite a few skeletons in every religious outfit...depending on the "morals/laws" you apply

However, I would neither join the catholic church in all my lifetime...nor TF & as a born Lutheran I left that church as a member 16/17 years back

So if the Catholics are so respected...(I challenge that...respected for what by whom??The world...other christians??...) why do you seek to join TF??...In what regard are they better for you & the world?? You really know no other Christian organisation (born again Christians have doubts about how christian the Catholics are or TF for that matter...the works/acts don't jive with the Word of God!) to have a far better choice???I pity you!!!

As the catholics did I believe the current leaders are trying to change ...

Come on...the change of the catholics is also very questionable...I read a book about the fate of women/householdhelpers, who fell in love with priests & who had to hide the relationship, plus the fate of the offspring of those relationships...celibacy is utter catholic non-Pauline nonsense...I think it started to become church law somewhere in the 12. century or so...in many regards the apostolic fathers had more sense than the leaders afterwards...
Not to speak of the black (Jesuit) "counter"-pope...Opus Dei ...the P2-involvement...probable asassinations of some popes etc...I guess you have googled something about that or read books...hope so...no, I don't have respect for them...sorry.

And no, I have no respect for TF either, because what you describe as "trying to change"...wouldn't be enough for me...I don't see any repentance...they regard themselves as the avantgarde of Christianity...so they're prone to pride...unwilling to change much... a little bit of the facade...

Ask them about the one-wife-principle of them...not denounced???...just stay away from such adulterous organisation, unless you want to deeply harm your body (some died, due to negligence) & soul & spirit...not to speak of being incestous, sexually abusive

As the first generation retires hopefully the second generation will address the past and make sure history does not repeat its self.

Oh, the first generation retires?...do they have any retirement funds???...Do they rely on their relatives to help them out or the governments around the world?

2.Thessalonians 3
6: Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7: For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8: Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10: For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11: For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12: Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13: But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14: And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15: Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

I welcome any other observations of you regarding TF
