I like your Biblical approach, Farmer. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and accepting that they may not be seeing us as such horrible people any more.

But going further, could we look at this as a way to start a type of dialogue with Maria and Peter on one side and us ex-members on the other side? Is this a way they have to offer some healing to their harsh treatments of the past instead of just some internal advertisement that sounds good to their current disciples that lost a few children to "the system"?

Of course, this would be a radical departure from their protected pontificating position to examine the "biblical" context of the "errors they made, and show the courage of publicly evaluate the solutions they implemented.
