Your comment that you will "remain Christian" reveals the many ways the culture in The Family needs to be modified. There is something natural about feeling like "we are it", and all of that non sense. What culture or group doesn't have that? Patriotism is the essence of that attitude. It ensures tribal survival when their members pride themselves in the membership to the group. That is natural.

But beyond the "those who are not with us are not Christian", there are the attitudes of "we are the only Christians", or "the best Christians".

I am not saying this as a criticism but as a characteristic of the culture, which fostered a highly dependent environment that attributed directives from a leadership structure as divine and from God.

Why the Hole Spirit then? (But that is a conversation for Journeys)

The new generations, whether awakened by a celestial signal or rebels as we once rebelled, are asking questions outside that environment, and they don't have the answers.

I have never thought of Peter, Maria, or even Berg as not being intelligent. They are, and because of that intelligence they may be trying their best to solve the problem, and have identified it correctly, in my opinion. Culture change is the real way to go, but how are they going to do it?

Will they go with the Biblical recipe, if they have not forgotten it? Who will their High Priest be? Will they go instead to search for Melchizedek? But this will open a can of worms for them because they will have to confess publicly.

But even a non-religious approach will require this confession. How would they avoid it? All professionals in the disciplines of organizational culture and change management, including me, recognize the need to start with a "mistake inventory".

Are they ready to do this? Maybe they are. I did recognize a new rhetoric and maybe they are trying to figure out how to do all of this. Their slow slope from the straight and narrow brought them to a place far away from where was easy to recognize one's mistakes.

But if they repent in the eyes of the Lord, seek His Face, obey His Words and turn away from their evil deeds, He may deliver them, as He did in the days of old. But He will not do that for their sakes but for the sakes of their children who He will take care of regardless of what P&M decide to do. He that has an ear, let him hear. This the Word of The Lord.
