One potential problem I see with the Vineyard movement is this: with so much attention given to making the gospel culturally relevant, we run the risk of being co-opted by the culture in which we are embedded.

Something that immediately attracted to me the Vineyard plant are all the people with babies and serious tatoos. Young people having babies aren't don't generally have a lot of disposable income. I realize tatoos are fashionable now, but serious ink--I'm talking arm sleeves & neck wraps--it's not the yuppie crowd that gets a tatoo on spring break. A fair number of people in active recovery. Many in my church work in the arts. Again, not a fast path to fortune for most. A lot of self-employed people without good health benefits. Hence, the benevolence fund.
