is how Hebrews 2:4 is very often translated in past tense (as you can notice from the link, also often done in German translations)...hence no emphasis of the Hebrew writer about then continued signs and wonders in the days of his writing the letter...but rather focusing on the initial "thrust"...it's one of those verses, which sobered me up a bit.
I know some "free brethren"...who have admitted on my asking them to the "healing-scenario" of James...I've seen others dismissing that in the internet...asking, who those appointed elders nowadays should be then...etc. etc....hm...I still think confessing once sins to the Lord and others is still a major stepping stone in getting healing from the Lord...&/or one gets humility along with the affliction...not too bad altogether
...although, I must confess, I am a regular complainer : ( ...not so much about some affliction, but rather situations.
