Maybe comfort the comfortless. Help the oppressed, bring relief to those suffering. Many people do not believe in God and are uncomfortable turning to someone they consider to believe in fairy tales for those things. Many people do have religious leanings and would be uncomfortable turning to a humanist chaplain. It's called different strokes for different folks. If you care about helping people in need wherever they are at you should be all for it. If you are a self righteous jerk who believes that everyone should think as you then you should fight it tooth and toenail.
