In politics gay marriage is and will remain a major topic even though the economy and unemployment is what people are the most concerned about.

The ariticle below sums up how the quesiton was anwered on Thursday by candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.

They all oppose same sex marrige rights, but 2 of them stood out for their responses: Ron Paul says it's up the each State to decide, but that's problematic because what happens when people move to another State. And John Huntsman said he's for civil unions.

Are civil unions the remedy to the issue? Maybe yes, maybe no. Many countries have chosen and are choosing this route to make things more equal. But if I was gay I probably wouldn't even put the question out there.

PS. Ron Paul is so consistent and I really like some of his positions. For example how adament he's always been against the folly of the wars in Iraq and Afganistan.
