It is important to understand that the Christian God of the Bible is not the god Muslims call Allah. Allah was part of the pantheon of 360 gods that already existed in the pagan era long before Mohammed came. Mohammed preserved one of them. Likely the god Allah w/family came (was brought) from Sumer over the centuries, and ‘settled’ in the Kaaba in Mecca.
Islam consists of much more than is related in the Koran. In fact, hosts of Muslims never read a word in the Koran, but their religion exists for the most part in the customs, or the hadith, i.e. whatever Mohammed was seen to have done is related as their religion, whatever it may be. Some quite far out things indeed, and some very similar to what Berg taught.
Mohammed mixed Biblical history into the Koran, although much of it incorrect and very confused, similar to how Berg mixed christendom into his pagan lustful and confused life.
To answer your question, anyone, including Obama, setting Mohammed up as a role model… trying to live up to it, and calling their god Allah, is a extremist pr definition. Their loyalties lie places where most people don’t look.
