*Some publications in our database may be missing some data—they will be included in your search results if applicable. Example: if you specify a date range 1969-1975, and a publication in our database has no registered date, it will simply be included as a possibility in your search, and treated as a publication within that date range.

For the research geeks:

1. title words: enter a word or words separated by blank spaces; words may match against partial words, so "city" will match against "electricity" and "city"; each word you enter here narrows the range—fewer pubs are found as the title must contain each word you give.
2. date range: you can reduce the number of finds by narrowing the date range, but if a publication's date has not been registered in our database, it will be included regardless, so you won't miss it.
3. publication types: a publication can sometimes be a Mo Letter as well as a GN; the more boxes you check in this section, the more publications are found—the range is widened.
4. security clearance: the more boxes you check in this section, the more publications are found—the range is widened; the category of some publications are not yet registered, and these will be included in your search no matter what you select
5. must contain words: the more words you enter, the fewer pubs are matched—each word you add generally reduces the number of matches; check the "allow matches with partial words" box, if you want to be able to match "keep" with "keeping" or "bookkeeping."
6. must contain exact phrase: only publications with the exact sequence of words you ive will be found.
