Personal sacrifice, great personal sacrifice was taught. There was a Mo Letter published called "Die Daily."
Dehumanization and self-sacrifice is a step in the direction of suicide, I agree. I did worry after I left, about those who remained. They were making sacrifice after sacrifice daily, and every time the group was persecuted they closed in on themselves more and more. I often wondered if it wasn't but a small step to having Berg one day calling in a suicide.
Berg occasionally made "I'd rather die if" statements, but there never was a doctrine of RS taught, not even in the leadership circle. I am doubtful Ricky killed himself because of a COG doctrine he was taught and adhered to.
