Sad to say, most of these explanations will not work for the average middle of the road church goer christian. They will be uninterested by the second sentence.

On the other hand, something most present, as is the resurgence of yoga teachings as the entrance to mystic India that started in the late 1800 and early 1900... The visit of Paramahansa Yogadanta was the actual culmination of the previous stage. He set the stage of what became the future New Age movement.

All he taught was a bastardization of Christianity to entice those who had been turned off by the empty message of the churches of the day in California. He packaged his message in a familiar message and added practices and promises that had some immediate superficial benefits for their physical body. With those results he got, and continues having, a fermented pot of practices that serves them well.

The rest is history due to the inactivity of most Christian Churches. There has not been enough lessons to take the spiritual babies abundant in all those churches, and hungry for some spiritual food, and prevent them from going to those groups.

I think I am about to lose my temper. I should stop now.
Peace.
